Very similar voice, at least at this recording, to Luke Kelly.

Al O'Donnell was, in my opinion, the most under-rated folk singer of all time. Don't believe he recorded this on an album. I was so grateful to the baker at Dingle, who, many years ago, put an Al O'Donnell LP, which was unobtainable onto a tape for me.

Thank you so much for this video! I love Ronnie's version and it's the best but Sean's version is the second best. It strange Sean sings Ronnie's songs beautifully. Even more Ronnie sang Rare Auld Mountain Dew first but it suited Sean's voice more. Lovely thing. Thank you <3

Sorry, but these guys should not be calling themselves the Dublin Legends, nor should they be singing songs made famous by the true Dublin legends, The Dubliners. I love Eamonn to bits but he should have refused to join this lot as John Sheehan did, and as a mark of respect to Luke, Ciaron, Ronnie and Barney.

Al has been one of the best Irish performers since the 1960's. Great that he was invited to join the Dubliners on this German tour near the end of their career. Al is a wonderful man, very sociable and helpful to other musicians.
